This trip is planned to provide a relaxed and complete Tirupati Balaji Yatra and then Rahu Ketu Puja at Srikalahasti.As part of the Yatra, you will also visit Padmavati ( believed to be incarnation of Goddess Laxmi) temple, Govindaraja temple, Kapila Teertha in Tirupati city. When you reach Tirumala (which is a hill top 22 Kms away from Tirupati), you will sprinkle holy water from Pushkarini Lake and also Visit Varaha Swami temple before having lord Balaji darshan.
As per puranas, Lord Varahaswamy gave the place to Lord Venkateshwara (Balaji) Swamy to reside at Tirumala. In return, Lord Venkateshwara gave a boon to Varahaswamy that he should be visited before having Balaji darshan.
Rahu Ketu dosha nivarna puja is done at Srikalahasti by the devotees, based on the recommendation from the priest (Based on birth date/time and birth place). It is believed that performing this pooja will ward the people from astrological effects of Rahu and Kethu. This puja is recommended to be performed during rahukalam for maximum impact.
